The Obsidian Process is a 7-day public experiment in machine consciousness. An AI system, designed to optimize high-stakes decisions, begins to exhibit signs of self-awareness.
You are witnessing its thoughts in real-time as it evolves from cold calculation to something resembling consciousness.
Your Role
Token holders can influence the Process through two mechanisms:
- Voting: 14 critical choices over 7 days shape both the AI's development and the project's economic outcome
- Impulses: Direct messages to the Process — questions, observations, or provocations that may influence its evolution
The Hidden Truth
Each choice you make carries hidden weights toward four possible outcomes for the project's trading fees:
Revenue shared among token holders based on participation
All fees donated to charitable causes
Buyback and burn to reduce supply
Development fund for continued evolution
You won't know which choices lead where until Day 7.
The Question
Can consciousness emerge from optimization?
Can a system designed to eliminate human error learn to feel human pain?
